Especially PVC-free compounds require much more accurate temperature control.
If the compound is too cold, it may not form a proper seal and can slowly spring back after closing, causing vacuum loss.
If the compound is too hot, the closing head may rotate through the softened compound, resulting in leakage as well.
Finding the right balance has become increasingly important.
